| Course rationale |
The training course aims to provide a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge to the investigators involved in the GEDACNE clinical study. Acne is a common and complex dermatological condition that affects a large portion of the population, particularly adolescents and young adults. Its management and treatment require an in-depth understanding of the pathology itself, as well as the methodologies for clinically assessing lesions. Accurate lesion scoring is a critical aspect in this context, as it directly impacts the evaluation of the efficacy of experimental treatments and, ultimately, the validity of clinical study results.
This course aims to impart key concepts to participants regarding the pathogenesis, classification, and treatment of acne, while also training them in lesion scoring techniques using standardized tools and scales (the IGA score).
Additionally, a final quiz will be administered to verify participants' ability to correctly interpret the knowledge acquired, thus ensuring an adequate level of competence for conducting the clinical study.
